A Minnesota Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation branch partnered with the American Warrior Initiative (AWI) to honor a local U.S. veteran with a grant at an event in Austin, Minnesota. In collaboration with this event, a “Boot Camp” was held to train real estate professionals and mortgage planners on how to excellently handle the home purchase needs of active duty military members and veterans.
Fairway and the AWI surprised a veteran at the event with a service dog from Custom Canines as well as a family grant of $7,500 for home repairs. Custom Canines is a nonprofit organization of volunteers who create partnerships between highly skilled service dogs and people of diverse disabilities to improve quality of life.
Co-founded by Louise Thaxton and Sean Parnell, the American Warrior Initiative is a non-profit organization sponsored by Fairway Independent Mortgage. The AWI seeks to ease U.S. veterans’ transition from military to civilian life.
I am proud to work for a company that does so much to honor those who sacrifice for our country. If I can help answer any questions about VA loans or other home loan options, please give me a call.Tags: Veterans
